The Addis Ababa Chamber of Commerce and Sectoral Associations (Addis Chamber), one of the strongest and oldest Chambers in Ethiopia, is striving to promote green growth and sustainable investment to be exercised among its members and business communities in general.
Currently the Chamber which secured a grant fund from GIZ has officially launched a Green Growth Initiative in September 2025 for Sustainable Business Growth (GGI-SBG) Project that will run for one year.
Now senior leaders of Addis Chamber and project team have paid a working visit to SNV Ethiopia to enhance partnership and cooperation to ensure sustainability of businesses, resilient economy amid rising global climate change.
Leaders have also thoroughly discussed about on how to support green and innovative businesses through addressing systemic barriers that are engaged in green jobs and green economy.
Discussants from the two institutes also emphasized on the need to ensure sustainability in potential intervention areas through establishing vibrant business model and systemic engagements.
SNV Ethiopia is a non-profit international development organization working in the fields of agriculture, energy, and WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) to improve livelihoods and sustainability.
