The China Africa Entrepreneurs’ Summit, co-hosted by the China Mission to the African Union and the AU Commission and organized by the China Chamber of Commerce to Africa, is set to unfold in the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa. Under the theme “Deepening Practical ChinaAfrica Cooperation and Embarking on a New Journey for Development,” the summit will bring together major businesses from Africa and China to advance sustainable development across infrastructure, mineral development, new energy, the digital economy, financial cooperation, and the promotion of the 9th China International Import Expo (CIIE).
Now in its second consecutive year, the summit will also rally business membership organizations (BMOs), including the Addis Chamber, a key partner with the China Chamber of Commerce to Africa. In a pre-scheduled meeting, Mr. Wu Jiuyi, Secretary General of the China Chamber of Commerce, and Mr. Jemal Seid, Deputy Secretary General of Addis Chamber, met at the premises of CCECC to discuss collaboration for full-scale implementation of the summit.
It should be recalled that the Addis Chamber, one of the oldest and largest chambers in Ethiopia and Africa, signed a strategic partnership agreement with the Beijing Chamber of Commerce last year to boost trade and investment across Ethiopia and beyond.
