Top leadership of Addis Chamber discusses with Deputy Mayor Janitrar Abay on how to strengthen the industrial sector in the city

Jantirar Abay , Deputy mayor and Head of the industry development Bureau of Addis Ababa City Administration pledges to support the Private sector in general and industrial sector in particular to be competitive both locally and internationally.

Team of board memebers led by Zehara Mohammed, President of Addis Ababa Chamber of commerce &Sectoral Association (Addis Chamber) made extensive discussion with the Deputy mayor and head of the city administration industry bureau, Jantirar Abay.

In their joint meeting, Jantirar calls for Addis Chamber to actively promote trade and industry of the city, and serving as a bridge between private sector and government.

The two inistitutions, both Addis chamber and city’s industry Bureau agreed to work together on common strategic industrial issues in terms of promoting the industrial sector & enhancing the capacity of the private sector operators.

The chamber leadership reiterates the desire of Addis Chamber to host joint public and private platforms to materialize modern and active industrial sector in the city.

Deputy mayor Jantirar vows to support Addis Chamber in its effort to protect the interests of its members specially industrial operators while emphasizing the need to foresee vibrant industrial sector in the city.

Addis Chamber represents a large spectrum of businesses from different sectors of the economy.

Manufacturing, MSMEs, Construction , import and export, whole sale and retailer ,food and agriculture , logistics and service sectors are among others.
