A delegation comprising over 20 business leaders, led by W/ro Zehara Mohammed, President of Addis Chamber, successfully concluded its Business-to-Business (B2B) networking visit to Belgium and Luxembourg. The forum took place from May 18 to May 22, 2026, in Brussels and was attended by senior government officials, leaders from Addis Chamber, representatives of the business community from Benelux Countries, Ethiopia, and diplomatic communities.
The event provided a platform for exploring new market opportunities and establishing business linkages between Ethiopian and Benelux companies. The delegation engaged in visits to various investment projects and industries, facilitating experience sharing.
Trade between Belgium and Ethiopia is on the rise, now exceeding USD 350 million, with an annual growth rate of 12%. Belgium’s exports to Ethiopia include pharmaceuticals, machinery, plastics, and chemicals, while Ethiopia primarily exports agricultural products such as coffee and floriculture items.
The Ethio-Belgium and Luxembourg Business Forum was jointly organized by the Addis Chamber, the Chamber of Commerce Belgium-Luxembourg-Africa-Caribbean-Pacific (CBL-ACP), the Ethiopian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ethiopian Embassy in Brussels, and the Embassy of Belgium in Addis Ababa.
