Addis Chamber’s President calls on Romanian Anchor Investors to invest in Ethiopia

Mrs. Zehara Mohammed, President of the Addis Ababa Chamber of Commerce and Sectoral Associations (Addis Chamber), held a productive meeting with a delegation of Romanian anchor investors engaging on circular economy.

Accompanied by members of the Board of Directors and senior management, President Zehara warmly welcomed the high-profile Romanian business delegation to the Chamber’s headquarters .

During the discussion, she provided a comprehensive briefing on the Chamber’s mission, and pivotal role in supporting the private sector, while extending a strong call for investment in Ethiopia’s growing economy.

The Romanian business delegation, focused on circular economy, clean energy, and recycling technologies, identified Ethiopia as a priority destination for market entry in Africa.

Welcoming the investors at the Chamber headquarters, Secretary General of Addis Chamber Meseret Molla (PhD) highlighted about the chamber services and reaffirmed the chamber commitment to support them and fostering investment opportunities and sustainable partnerships.

“We are delighted to welcome Romanian anchor investors and look forward to having them as valued members of the Chamber,” Dr. Meseret stated.

Circular economy is one of the key priorities of Addis Chamber and currently the Chamber jointly with development partners is working to enhance the awareness of its members towards ensuring such SDGs initiatives.

As one of Ethiopia’s oldest and most influential business membership organizations, Addis Chamber continues to be a central player in promoting trade and investment, both locally and internationally.
