Announcement of the Third Round Business Plan Competition
ABSF is a project financed by the Kingdom of the Netherlands Embassy in Ethiopia and housed by the Addis Ababa Chamber of Commerce and Sectoral Associations. Among others, the objective of the project is to increase the entrepreneurial and technical capacity of young Ethiopian graduates. One of the mechanisms to support the young graduates is by providing opportunities for motivated BSc and MSc students to develop business plans and start their own agribusiness companies. A winner of the business plan competition will receive Birr 100,000.00 grant as seed money to implement his/her project and will get technical support from ABSF. Over the course of three years, about fifteen prizes will be awarded to the winners. Five winners have been selected in the first round competition and have received Birr 75,000.00 each while five other second round winners received Birr 100,000.00 each.
ABSF has finalized the prerequisites to conduct the third round business plan competition for the graduates of 2013, 2014 and 2015 in BSc or MSc degrees from Haramaya, Hawassa, Jimma, Ambo, Bahirdar, Adama, Wolaita Sodo and Semera Universities in Agricultural fields of studies. Application forms and detail eligibility criteria and application procedure are available to download from www.addischamber.com/absf or can be obtained by contacting the Coordinator.
