President of Addis Chamber held talks with Venezuelan Ambassador to Ethiopia in a bid to enhance bilateral trade and investment

Ethiopia and Venezuela have sustained long years of diplomatic relationship and diplomatic sources reveal that such ties to date back to more than seven decades.

Now the two countries have displayed their commitment to further bolster their diplomatic ties built on South-South cooperation and shared interests, including economic and social development.

In recent periods leaders of the two nations have exhibited a commitment to strengthening bilateral ties, regional cooperation, and working together on global issues.

A midst of such efforts comes the discussion held between Mrs. Zehara Mohammed, President of Addis Chamber and Eddy Jose Cordova Corcega, Venezuelan Ambassador to Ethiopia, non-resident to Djibouti, South Sudan and Permanent Representative of the African Union.

In their discussion Ambassador Eddy Jose Cordova, briefs about the commitment of his country to open up its economy to foreign business and meanwhile he called on the Ethiopian business communities to harness such opportunity.

The ambassador also called on members of Addis Chamber(businesses ) to engage in the upcoming agricultural expo that is expected to be held early June 2025 at Caracas.

More than 20 nations drawn from Europe, Africa and Asia to take part in the expo, that will be held early June 2025.

Likewise President of Addis Chamber Mrs. Zehara Mohammed mentioned about major services and functions of Addis Chamber in supporting its members and in the meantime she reiterates the readiness of Addis Chamber to partner with Venezuelan Embassy in Addis Ababa while promoting business and investment between the two.

Concluding their discussion the two parties have agreed to sign an MoU that paves the way for future interaction.
