The meeting happened during a sideline event at the Addis Chamber – Bursa Business Forum running from May 7-8, 2026 at the Sky Light Hotel, Addis Ababa.
The two leaders also emphasizes on expanding bilateral trade and investment, with a focus on practical networking between business communities residing in Addis Ababa and cities in Turkey.
Currently Addis Chamber and its Turkish counterparts are actively working to connect firms across Turkish cities to foster cross-border collaboration.
The Addis – Bursa Chamber Business Forum that is jointly organized by Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia, Turkish government, Addis Chamber and Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry entered its second day, attracting more than 200 Turkish companies and thousands of Ethiopian businesses, underscoring strong regional interest in the partnership.
The forum’s momentum suggests growing interest from Turkish investors in Ethiopia’s market access and from businesses in Addis Ababa seeking Turkish supply chains and technology.
