የፊንቴክስ (ፋይናንስ ቴክኖሎጂዎች) ባለሙያ የሆኑት አቶ ይልቃል አባተ ሐሙስ፣ ሐምሌ 28፣ 2014 ዓ.ም የአዲስ አበባ ንግድና ዘርፍ ማኅበራት ምክር ቤት ባዘጋጀውና ትኩረቱን ‹‹ፊንቴክስ ለኢትዮጵያ ኢኮኖሚ ባለው ጥቅም›› ላይ ባደረገው የውይይት መድረክ ላይ ገለፃ አድርገዋል፡፡
ባለሙያው እንዳነሱት በ2013 ዓ.ም 270 ቢሊዮን ብር ፊንቴክስን በመጠቀም በባንኮች የተለያዩ የገንዘብ ማስተላለፊያ ዘዴዎች በዲጂታል መንገድ ማዘዋወር ተችሏል፡፡
ፊንቴክስ በመባል በወል ስም ከሚጠሩት ቴክኖሎጂዎች መካከልም ባንኮችና አንዳንድ የንግድ ተቋማት የሚጠቀሙባቸው ፖስ ማሽኖችን ጨምሮ ሄሎ ካሽ፣ አሞሌ ዲጂታል ዘዴ፣ የሞባይል ባንክ አገልግሎት፣ ኢንተርኔት ባንክንና ሌሎች የዲጂታል ገንዘብ ማስተላለፊያዎችን ያካትታል፡፡
ምንም እንኳን ፊንቴክስ በገንዘብ ዝውውር ላይ ያለውን ጣልቃ ገብነት በመቀነስ ወጪዎችን ለመቀነስ ቢያግዝምና ቀልጣፋ አገልግሎት ማግኘት ቢያስችልም በኢትዮጵያ እንዳይስፋፋ ካደረጉት ችግሮች መካከል እስከቅርብ ጊዜ አገልግሎቶቹን የሚፈቅድ ፖሊሲ አለመኖሩና፣ ከተፈቀደም በኋላ ቴክኖሎጂዎቹን ለመቆጣጠር ሲሞከር ያሉት ችግሮች፣ ስለቴክኖሎጂዎቹ በቂ ግንዛቤ አለመኖሩ እንደሚጠቀሱ አቶ ይልቃል አብራርተዋል፡፡
አቶ ይልቃል ቴክኖሎጂዎቹን ለማስፋፋት በርካታ የግንዛቤ ማስጨበጫና የውይይት መድረኮችን ማመቻቸትን ጨምሮ የመረጃ ቋቶችን (Data Centers) ማስፋፋትንና ከቁጥጥርና ፈቃድ ጋር ያሉትን ሂደቶች ማዘመን እንደሚገባም ምክረ ሃሳባቸውን አቅርበዋል፡፡ (ኢትዮ የንግድ እና ኢንቨስትመንት መድረክ)
