Embracing the mission to promoting international trade and investment systems that foster peace, prosperity and opportunity for all, the International Chamber of Commerce( ICC) , is one the renowned entities behind realizing sustainable business and investment across the world.

Addis Chamber on the other hand, the longtime member of ICC, is working for the same cause to promote business and investment sustainably.

Now leaders of the two entities met today towards enhancing partnership.

In his remark Mr. John Denton, Secretary General of ICC said that his journey to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia is part of the mission to establish a committee that can support business communities to engage in the global business track.

Admiring the leadership commitment exhibited at Addis Chamber, the Secretary General of ICC said that there are enormous opportunities to work with Addis Chamber as it represents the vast majority of businesses operating in the capital.

As being a global hub for Africa, UNECA, African Union, Addis Ababa is an important city to undertake reliable partnership that can transform business and economy, further states Mr. John Denton.

In her welcoming remark, Mrs. Zehara Mohammed, President of Addis Chamber, expresses the interests of her organization to closely work with ICC in building the capacity of local business entities to be competitive globally.

Mentioning that Addis Chamber is the longtime member of ICC, Acting Secretary General, Mr. Zekarias Assefa, highlighted the current policy measures taken by the Ethiopian government such as the launching of capital market, forex liberalization, the establishment of the state of the art convention center in the capital Addis to be a comparative advantage for ICC to partner with Addis Chamber.

He also said that Addis Chamber is going through a reform program to reach out all segments of the business communities and undertaking business development, digital and advocacy services towards creating sustainable businesses.

Concluding their discussion high profile leaders of the two institutions, Addis Chamber and ICC, reiterates their commitment towards realizing what the two leaders have agreed and discussed so far.
