Mr. Zekarias has already commenced work at his new position as of January 13, 2026.
The new Secretary General has been working in the Chamber as Deputy Secretary General for Business Development & advocacy for the last 9 years.
Mr. Zekarias earned his MSc degree from University of Manchester (UK) in Human Resources Management.
Mr Zekarias Assefa had been working as Director General of the Ethiopian Management Institute for seven years also served as a Director of Training institute at the Ethiopian Red Cross society.
