Addis Ababa Chamber of Commerce and Sectoral Associations (Addis Chamber), in collaboration with the Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE), has launched a capacity-building training program for its Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise (MSME) member companies.

The training, which is being provided to more than 100 MSME members drawn from the Bole, Yeka, and Lemi Kura sub-cities of Addis Ababa, aims to enhance participants’ business management skills, competitiveness, and growth opportunities.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Zekarias Asefa, Secretary General of Addis Chamber, stated that the Chamber is working diligently to improve the competitiveness of its members, particularly MSMEs, in both domestic and international markets.

He noted that the Chamber envisions empowering more businesses to meet national and international standards, enabling them to expand their market reach and improve performance.

Deputy Secretary General Kassahun Mamo highlighted the Chamber’s ongoing efforts to expand its business development services to entrepreneurs and enterprises at the district level across the city.

According to Kassahun, similar specialized training programs will be delivered to at least 550 MSME member companies across the remaining sub-cities over the next five weeks.
