Addis Chamber Participates in the National Greening Campaign

Climate change is not merely a shift in global weather patterns—it carries devastating consequences for countries like ours, including flooding, drought, soil erosion, land degradation, and wildfires.

Among the most effective strategies to combat climate change is reforestation.

In response to the national call for environmental action, the Addis Ababa Chamber of Commerce, under the coordination of the Ethiopian Chamber of Commerce, has actively joined the National Greening Campaign by planting tree seedlings .

The Board of Directors, management, and staff of the Addis Chamber have planted hundreds of seedlings at the foothills of Entoto, north of the capital.

The event also saw the participation of the Ministry of Trade & Regional Integration, the Addis Ababa City Trade Bureau, the Ethiopian Chamber of Commerce, the Oromia and Sheger City Chambers of Commerce, and numerous members of the business community.

Addis Chamber firmly believes that business and the environment are deeply interconnected.

A thriving business sector is only possible in a healthy, sustainable environment.

As the voice of the private sector, Addis Chamber remains committed to environmental stewardship—recognizing its role in greening the country and ensuring that we pass on to future generations a planet that is livable, vibrant, and sustainable.
