Addis Chamber, December 22, 2022,Addis Ababa:Vietnamese Ministry of industry and trade paid a visit to the HQ of Addis Chamber to discuss on boosting bilateral trade and investment between the two countries.
During their discussion major services of Addis Chamber, strategic plan and business sectors as well as marketing and communication strategies were briefed to the delegates by Addis Chamber.
While briefing to the delegates Zekarias Assefa, deputy secretary General of Addis Chamber calls on the delegates to enhance partnership with Addis Chamber that would help to boost bilateral trade and investment ties of the two countries.
The existing leather potential of Ethiopia is an ideal investment and business opportunities to be utilized, said Solomon Getu from the Ethiopian leather industry association further saying the AfCFTA is instrumental to boost regional market and calls on the Vietnamese to supply input such as accessories to the Ethiopian leather manufacturers to accelerate production of leather products.
Nguyen Phuc Nam, deputy director general of Asia Africa market department at the Vietnamese ministry of industry and trade said that Vietnam is well known for its production of footwear and the role of Addis Chamber is key in providing market information to tap the trade and investment ties between the two countries.
Concluding their meeting the two parties have agreed to enhance trade and business ties between the two institutes in the future.
