The Board of Directors, management team and staffs of Addis Chamber led by the President, has paid a visit to Mekdonia elderly and mentally disabled Center established by the Ethiopian philanthropists including Biniam Belete.
The Center, located at Ayat designed to offer a wide range of services aimed at rehabilitating the livelihoods and transforming the lives of vulnerables across the city and the country.
The center is meant for supporting vulnerable elderly and mentally disabled through providing basic necessity , food, shelter, health, psychological support and skill trainings.
The visiting team has also spent time to see facilities and the vulnerable .
The center has accommodated some eight thousand elderly and mentally disabled vulnerable community at a time and includes skill development hubs, psychological counseling and mental health services, training centers, etc.
President of Addis chamber Mrs. Zehara Mohammed during the visit said , the Chamber as part of its CSR activity, is willing to work together with its memebers and all business community to support the center in different aspects.
Secretary General of the Chamber, Meseret Molla (PhD) also said that the chamber is ready to contribute its responsibility in supporting the center and the vulnerable .
Founder and the general manager of the center, Mr. Biniam Belete urges the chamber to mobilize its members to support the center in a sustainable manner.
