During a meeting held on April 2, 2026, at the premises of Addis Chamber the head of the trade section at the Czech Embassy, Mr.Roman Plevak and senior management of Addis Chamber discussed various initiatives to strengthen business relations.
Key topics included the establishment of joint business platforms, project development, and investment promotion. Mr. Zekarias Assefa, Secretary General of Addis Chamber, highlighted the organization’s ongoing efforts to promote business opportunities in Addis Ababa and Ethiopia alongside development partners and other Chambers.
Mr. Kassahun Mamo, Deputy Secretary General of Addis Chamber, emphasized the importance of revitalizing the partnership between the two institutions to foster economic and social development in both countries. Notably, Addis Chamber and the Czech Chamber of Commerce & Industry signed a memorandum of understanding two years ago to collaborate on various initiatives.
Furthermore, both entities have agreed to co-host the Ethio-Czech Business Forum, scheduled for April 22, 2026, in Addis Ababa.
